According to DTE Energy, 36,700 customers still do not have access to electricity in the Greater Detroit area at 6 am

Tuesday evening

According to DTE Energy, there are currently 30,000 power cuts in the Greater Detroit area, and this number is increasing as much of southeastern Michigan is under heavy storm conditions.

The teams are working around the clock to make repairs, according to a DTE press release.

The company estimated that the repairs could be completed at 14:30. Wednesday, but updates will be released as soon as teams complete the damage assessment.

Here are some safety tips:
– Guests must stay at least 20 feet from all power lines and always consider living
– Customers should pay attention to the yellow warning sign, which indicates that power lines are falling in the area
– Never use a portable generator in a home or business as it emits carbon monoxide, which can be deadly. Keep it outside windows and doors to prevent gas entry.
