Florida Retailers Expect Father’s Day Spending To Total $133 Per Dad:
Families in Florida will spend an average of $ 133 per person on Father’s Day, according to the Florida Retail Federation (FRF), the second highest in the history of the survey through special occasions, clothing, gift cards and electronic products that lead the way as gift options.
“Consumer confidence remains high, unemployment is at least 10 years, and our state’s economy remains strong, which means that floors have more money to spend on parents this year,” said the CEO. From FRF, R. Scott Shaley. “The retail industry remains strong and I am excited about what these spending figures mean to our member retailers this year.”
The survey found that 47 percent of consumers plan to offer a “special picnic” gift, such as a concert, a sports event, or a dinner. This category represents the bulk of expenses.
More than half of the respondents plan to buy for their parents or children (53 percent), followed by couples (27 per cent) and children (10 per cent).
